Where it began: Zara Sykes is a Rap artist, Songwriter, entertainer and host who was born and raised in Birmingham (United Kingdom). She began writing songs/poems at the age of 9 years old and clearly has no intention of slowing down.  Once in her teens, Zara Sykes truly began to take her art-form seriously this female has no intention of being pigeon-holed.

“I just wanted to write poems, songs and rhymes, as I got older, I began to understand that this was my way of getting my thoughts and feelings out. I heard rap songs and knew that was what I wanted to do”.

From the get-go, Zara Sykes has set out to make her mark.  For her first talent show Zara Sykes was brought on stage in a straight jacket!  This was symbolic of breaking out of boxes. No doubt a sign of things to come!

Zara States: “Love is the most powerful thing”
